Someday
I.
Someday when far advanced into your years,
Think back to today and the joy it brought.
Perchance reflect upon the lessons taught.
Remembrance pierced by your smiles or your tears.
II.
When your bones are frail and your sight is dim,
Recollect the one entranced by your grace,
One ensnared by the beauty of your face.
Ne’er curse nor deny your memory of him.
III.
As your final days are passing away,
Recall how it was his love that you spurned,
Sending him to hiding not to return,
Love that is left to die with him someday.
