Darkest Night

This night has taken on a coal-black darkness,

No light has entered and no light has escaped.

A chasm of despair and impending doom,

I fear that this night may go on forever.

About John White

I've written off and on my entire life. It took years for me to finally take putting words together seriously. Now it's not, nor does it ever feel, like work. Writing daily has become habitual. No day is complete without words having appeared on the page.

\Why do the dark days seems so long and the bright days seems to fly by like birds? But looking back the dark days seem only a little grey and the good days are blindingly bright.

    • Time is a great healer. During those times, we may have the tendency to bemoan our times during dark nights while we are hasty to celebrate rather than soak up the bright days. Thank you for the comment. It’s great to meet you!

    As darkness falls,darkness scares us
we yearn for light that provides shape and form
    making us able to recognize
    to define whats before us
but what is it we are afraid of really?
    Not the darkness itself.No
But the truth we know hides deep
