Behind the Curtain

Standing back quietly waiting,

Having received confirmation,

That nothing is here to be seen,

Just fruitless anticipation.

But I still wait patiently,

Hearing this carnival barker,

Repeat his case for nothing to see,

While refusing to draw the curtain.
