Taking the Low Road
Taking the high road,
Does well to placate,
Calms those around me,
Prevents arguments,
Can maintain the peace,
And promote goodwill.
This is not the time,
To placate or calm,
Prevent arguments,
Maintain a false peace,
Or promote goodwill.
Now the truth must be,
Told and told plainly,
So in this case I’m,
Taking the low road.

Truth is not for everyone, there are only a few who can stand tall, I believe you are the one John, and if necessary I will stand next to you, soldier on my comrade
Thank you, Sheldon. I’ve always felt the truth is the best policy even when it’s possible that it might hurt some feelings. It sure beats a half truth or a lie.
I like these John. I’m a big fan of poetry and am always looking for new people to read.
Thank you, Mike! I’m glad you enjoyed them. It’s great to meet you!

I can relate
Thank you. Many of us can relate to finally just telling it like it is. It’s necessary on occasion. It’s great to meet you!
It’s great to meet you as well John, my name is Nicholas. I really have enjoyed what I have read on your blog, keep up the good reads and I’ll try and keep up my end. Thanks for the support, it means a lot.
Anytime, Nicholas. Thanks again for visiting. I look forward to more of your work!
This post really expresses how I feel – most of the time. It’s why I blog. It’s why only few of my friends and family bother to read what I do there. Speaking truth to power is a lonely task, but the state of things globally brings out “Jeremiah.” If I didn’t have the balance of more positive activities I would go mad. I may, still. Thanks for following my blog.
It can be difficult to balance things especially for anyone who likes to be alone some or even most of the time. I know that feeling very well. It’s great to meet you!

taking the low road, facing the hardcore reality
That’s the truth. Too many times we don’t want to deal with the hardcore truth. Facing up to it is a challenge.
