Live On

throughout time

seen in places

marked by names

are monuments

built by men

honoring self

from Versailles

to Abu Simbel

their vast pride

and vain glory

on display

my dear friend

you will need

no such site

for you will

live forever

in the minds

and the hearts

of all you touched

About John White

I've written off and on my entire life. It took years for me to finally take putting words together seriously. Now it's not, nor does it ever feel, like work. Writing daily has become habitual. No day is complete without words having appeared on the page.

  6. “you will need no such site

I find the thought absolutely breathtaking πŸ™‚

  7. Lovely! I’m new to blogging and I hope to stay. To live on, not for any pride or glory but for a simple reason that my memory stays and I’m able to touch a heart through my words. Thank you John White for following as you gave me a chance to read your work.

    • You’re welcome and thank you for dropping by and for your kind comment. Wishing to live on through memories is a wonderful goal to have. It’s great to meet you!
