Board Rooms

there may be a desire to screw

over the brain-dead Republicans

or to give what’s coming to

those moronic Democrats

kick the Tea Party in the nuts

or tell the Socialists to go to hell

how clever has everything become

to make us all feel as if we have

voices and that we can be heard

when all that’s true is that there

are some fat, bloated, pasty,

white men gnawing on cigars

somewhere who own this show

and own all of us

we do their bidding, we

fulfill one purpose – to make

them richer, fatter, more

bloated and allow them

to buy more expensive

cigars, cars and escorts

to overthrow the government

you’ll need to begin in

the smoke-filled board rooms

About John White

I've written off and on my entire life. It took years for me to finally take putting words together seriously. Now it's not, nor does it ever feel, like work. Writing daily has become habitual. No day is complete without words having appeared on the page.

    too true

  2. Brilliant! You are so, so right…I want to like this more than once 😉

  3. I know I am doing the ostrich syndrome by sticking my head into the sand, but for me I can’t see a better way than just to have my basic needs then to try to understand how all of this is going to end and when and if it does
My prayers are for the younger generation to solve this,my fight is gone went up and left way before a lot had started, people’s minds are on who’s country should play soccer and how that stadium should be built,or what star has fallen from grace,I have had it with the news of those who should keep to what they know instead of thrumping up the hill as though you will win the race
It’s a mouth full but there’s a lot to chew

  4. It’s easy to get comfortable with the status quo and even easier to wonder what we can do about things. But if we all stand up for what’s right and take the control away from the super wealthy, the younger generation will inherit a much better, stronger nation.

  5. Brilliantly said and sadly true…

    Depressing, but probably true.

  7. This is great!!!!! Brilliant!!!! You are right, they let us think we have a voice, but the average, working person is less heard now than ever before. Problem is no one seems to have the energy or the wherewithal to rally together, it seems we have all been deflated and the rich become richer and more full of themselves, knowing that they have gotten away with all of this.

  8. It’s a nice presentation of words! 😉

  9. brain-dead Republicans vs moronic Democrats …. a perfect description

  10. We are a slave species, created solely for the purpose of slavery; however, it doesn’t mean we must remain thus . . . or then again maybe it does.

  11. I don’t know what is going to become of our country. I don’t know how to rid ourselves of the vermine that make our laws, but exempt themselves from following those same laws. I don’t know how to get them out of office and start fresh with people who really care about what is best for our country, not them. I just don’t know how..

  12. There is only one party, sad to say, that sir is the party of the dollar sign.
