is it fair to say that

About John White

I've written off and on my entire life. It took years for me to finally take putting words together seriously. Now it's not, nor does it ever feel, like work. Writing daily has become habitual. No day is complete without words having appeared on the page.

  1. There’s probably a body of information on this that is busy finding out. I think that would be fair to say.

  2. Hahahahaha πŸ˜€

    I love it.

    Thanks,
    Anand πŸ™‚

  3. You’d certainly think so. Although there are a few busy bodies who work pretty busily to make all the bodies their business. However I get your general principle here. If we’re busy in worth while pursuits, then we won’t be involved in other’s suits.

  4. Love this… Very clever.
You’re definitely on to something here.
You know what they say about idle hands…

    • Thank you! πŸ™‚ Oh yes, idle hands and all that and then there’s the whole saying about glass houses. I’ve seen a lot of people who want to handle things for others when their lives are a mess.

      • Yes, perspective is often skewed when looking inward — we’re often too close to our own isues to see objectively.

For instance, the way I see myself in my mirror at home is often quite different from how I appear when I look at myself someplace else. Many factors are at play of course: lighting, color of the room, etc., but it helps me know that the way I see myself at home is not always the way others see me. It’s actually quite humbling and makes me try a little harder to improve my appearance. And even if the change I make is small, I still know and thus feel better.

The same goes for our actions. Sometimes we need others to put us in check since if left to ourselves we hardly ever think we’re doing anything wrong.

  5. Now you’re being a smarty pants.. (sarcastically said)
love this!! It’s cute as very on point. πŸ™‚

  6. Hi there! I love following your blog, and I thought of you when I was recently tagged in the 7.7.7. Challenge. Basically, it’s a fairly painless process that you can participate in on a platform of your choice. It allows writers to connect with new audiences and share a bit of their creative work. If you’re at all interested in participating, please take a look at my blog post on the subject. Thanks again!
