Passed By

something just passed by

flown high overhead

making a second pass

downward then high

into the heights unseen

a dark, cryptic force

left a stain on my eyes

cast shadows on my mind

though unknown, I fear

what it might foreshadow

and adjure it to never return

though I’m confident it will

About John White

I've written off and on my entire life. It took years for me to finally take putting words together seriously. Now it's not, nor does it ever feel, like work. Writing daily has become habitual. No day is complete without words having appeared on the page.

  4. The unknown is always dreaded.

  5. Love this. I automatically thought of UFOs. Not sure if that was the inspiration but that’s what I got out of it. If that’s the case, then this is a dope sci-fi poem. Never read one before.

  6. Reblogged this on wwwpalfitness.

  7. We fear most what we do not understand.Ominous overtones…

  8. ‘Tis a sign! I know ’tis a sign! I can read it in me runes, gov’nor! Comets, next!

  9. Happy holidays(?) I am reading how I feel, what is known as seasonal depression.

  10. Expectancy, curiosity – perhaps you might answer it one day ( aka frcasper)
