I’m Happy for You
you have found the one
and I’m happy for you
you have found your home
and I’m happy for you
you have found your family
and I’m happy for you
you have bound your marriage
and I’m happy for you
you have left me here
and I’m happy for you

Thanks for the reblog, Wade!
my pleasure John. I enjoy your work.
Thanks again, Wade!
This broke my heart to read. To get to unconditional love and really, truly experience that for another takes a lot of going within. A beautiful pull at the heartstrings writing.
Thank you, Reine! A hard lesson to learn is to be happy for someone when they’re happy even when their life doesn’t include you. At least that was my hardest lesson. It’s great to meet you!
The ending though such sweet sorrow.
That ending though, what a punch in the gut.
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it even considering you got punched in the gut. My apologies. 🙂 It’s great to meet you!
Casual way to meet people, man. Good to ‘meet’ you too! Keep up the good stuff 🙂
‘Meet’ in the most casual way, of course. 🙂 But it is good to hear from you and to receive your feedback.
Thanks! No happy endings here. 🙂
But everyone deserves a happy ending
Yes. True. But then often the ending isn’t happily ever after.
No reality is a cruel mistress
Yes it sure is. 🙂
Maybe it means something better is around the corner…
That may be the case. I’ll keep hope alive. Thanks!
I know EXACTLY the head space you’re in in this piece.
Thanks, Erik! It’s a tough place to be though it’s all a part of life, I suppose. It’s great to meet you!
It is a shitty place, but when you can truly be happy for them, you’ve cleared your heart and you become FREE
Absolutely! I couldn’t agree more!
Ouch.
A sad, painful but necessary ending.
Yes, the only thing more painful is not ending, when the time comes.
I completely agree!
Aww this is so sad, real and honest 😦
Thank you, Kirsty! I’m glad you enjoyed it. Sometimes we get unhappy endings. It’s unfortunate but true. It’s great to meet you!
Its true we do get them 😦 lovely to meet you too!
Lovely Poem! I can totally relate to it 🙂
Yes, at the time, it is too excruciating; but as is said time heals everything, almost everything; saying from my personal experience.
And we have to keep hoping that there is something else better ahead! 🙂
Time is a great healer as is a new perspective. They can at least soften the pain.
Difficult, i’m sure. To truly love someone, and be happy for them, without attachments…
Thanks! Though difficult to come to grips with, to find that happiness for someone in that situation is a step in the right direction.
Hi John
C’est la vie, as they say. TIme moves on, life goes on. Touching and true, this piece!
Yes it does. Time keeps moving forward and we have to move with it even if it’s against our will.
I am happy for you
for you truly understand love
rather be the one in pain
than have your love suffer
but there is a slight irony
For the knowledge,
Love finds you as you know
so your love is looking for you.
so be found
Thank you! Well said!
This is so sad because this is what I’ve been going through all these months and I’m just so relieved someone could put it into words so beautifully heartbreaking as it is. Beautiful poem.
Thank you! I’m sorry to hear that you’re going through this. Time is a great healer and it also lends perspective to everything. All the best to you!
sometimes when you tell the world that you’re happy..deep down in dark there… you are sad.
That’s the truth. It can be unhealthy to hide that sadness. That has to be released. Some part of us can be happy for the person who found what they’re looking for but we have to be honest that we’re also sad too.
it’s a very sad poem but you love unconditionally be blessed.
Thanks, Franz! A sad ending but life doesn’t always go our way unfortunately. It’s great to meet you!
Yes, me too it’s my pleasure to meet you. Don’t worry maybe someone better is right there in the corner who knows? as long as were still breathing hope is still there.
Ain’t it the truth? We can hope. 🙂
just hold on and believe it will happen
Hi John,
It’s not easy to do it but this is what true love is all about. It is selfless. For this,BEAUTIFUL is the word 🙂
Thank you! You’re right. It’s the hardest thing to do to let go of someone and be happy that they’ve found happiness. I’ve found that we’re never too old to learn a lesson. 🙂
Unrequited Love 😀
Yes, it’s one of life’s cruelties. It’s great to meet you!
It’s a great honor to meet you too 🙂 Thank you so much
Reminds me of Adele’s song “Someone Like You”
Thank you! 🙂

Thank you so much for the reblog!
I can relate completely to the words you expressed so well here, that bittersweet feeling. I wanted to ask you if this was personal, but I can see that it is according to the comments.
This one was quite personal yes. A very long story of boy meets girl, girl meets another boy…
